One of Sonnenberg Station's pieces this season is "Wanting Memories," written by Ysaye Barnwell and performed by Sweet Honey in the Rock, an amazing, all-woman, African-American a cappella ensemble. Sue, a Sonnenberg Station fan who attended their concert in Wooster on March 19 as part of the Music on Market series, asked about the song, so I thought it would be appropriate to share this beautiful interview with the songwriter, featuring the song as its soundtrack.
